2001 - 2003

Shinsei Servicing Company (Shinsei Servicer) lays the foundation for future success and expansion through an increasing range of servicing solutions.

  • Company established in October 2001
  • Servicing License No. 63 granted by the Minister of Justice, operations commence on the same date
  • Asset Management Division and Non-Recourse Loan Division begin accepting servicing contracts
  • Retail Loan Division established and begins servicing operations
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to begin administrative work for securitization structures, special purpose companies (SPCs) and other entities
  • Shinsei Bank's Parkview closes, Shinsei Servicer contracted to handle servicing in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securitization structure
  • Shinsei Servicer undertakes servicing for Shinsei Bank's Shinsei Multi-Asset Recovery Transaction (SMART), the first NPL securitization by a Japanese bank
  • Company name changed to Shinsei Servicing Company (previously, BM Servicing Company)
  • Shinsei Servicer undertakes servicing for Shinsei Bank's HYDRA Funding Corporation (HYDRA I), the first multi-asset residential loan securitization in Japan
  • Company offices moved to Shinsei Bank Building at 1-8, Uchisaiwaicho 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
  • Shinsei Servicer undertakes servicing for Shinsei Bank's HYDRA Funding Corporation (HYDRA II)
  • HYDRA I named International Financial Review (IFR) Magazine's "Japanese Securitization Deal of the Year for 2003"
  • Shinsei Bank receives "Japanese Securitization House of the Year Award for 2003" by IFR for its HYDRA I and SMART securitization structures serviced by Shinsei Servicer

2004 - 2006

Riding the wave of award-winning recognition for its successful first round of major servicing contracts, Shinsei Servicer looks to expand services further and enhance its internal and external Group synergies.

  • Standard & Poor's grants "Above Average with Stable Outlook" rating (the second highest of 5 ratings) to Residential Loan Primary Servicing
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to begin administration of credit management
  • Shinsei Servicer provides servicing for Shinsei Bank's HYDRA Funding Corporation (HYDRA III)
  • Shinsei Servicer undertakes servicing for Shinsei Bank's Bueno, a residential loan securitization
  • Shinsei Servicer provides servicing for Cosmic Funding (a securitization of Mizuho Bank's headquarter building and Otemachi Financial Center), arranged by Shinsei Bank
  • Shinsei Servicer provides servicing for Shinsei Bank's HYDRA Funding Corporation (HYDRA IV)
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to begin consulting services
  • Shinsei Servicer provides servicing for Shinsei Bank's HYDRA Funding Corporation (HYDRA V)
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to provide administrative support for terminating leasing contracts as well as administrative support for non-recourse loan operations
  • Standard & Poor's upgrades Residential Loan Primary Servicing rating to "Strong with Stable Outlook" (the highest of 5 ratings)

2007 - 2009

Shinsei Servicer continues to enjoy successes and robust evaluations from leading rating agencies and looks to solidify its position as the top servicer in the Japanese market.

  • Standard & Poor's grants "Strong with Stable Outlook" rating (the highest of 5 ratings) to Commercial Loan Special Servicing
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to perform administrative support related to intellectual property rights
  • Minister of Justice authorization obtained to provide consulting services related to the administration, etc. of investment business in real estate related assets
  • Commercial Loan Special Servicing maintains top rating from Standard & Poor痴, which also upgrades Commercial Loan Primary Servicing to "Above Average with Positive Outlook"

2010 -

  • Standard & Poor's upgrades Commercial Loan Primary Servicing rating to "Strong with Stable Outlook" (the highest of 5 ratings)
  • Company offices moved to Nihonbashi Muromachi Nomura Building, 4-3, Nihonbashi-muromachi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
